Welcome to Simply Hypno. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of simplyhypno.com (the "Site") and your purchase or use of hypnotherapy sessions, the group program, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Mary Mauro, doing business as Simply Hypno ("Simply Hypno," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing the Site, booking a session, or joining the group program, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

1. About Our Services

Simply Hypno offers hypnotherapy services, including:

  • Individual hypnotherapy sessions (single session, six-session package, twelve-session package)

  • A monthly group hypnotherapy program delivered via Zoom

  • Educational content, recordings, and related digital materials (such as the "Become Limitless" recording)

All sessions are delivered virtually via Zoom unless otherwise agreed.

2. Not a Substitute for Medical or Mental Health Care

Hypnotherapy is a complementary practice and is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or psychological diagnosis or treatment. Mary Mauro is a hypnotherapist, not a licensed physician, psychologist, or psychiatrist. Hypnotherapy services are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical or mental health condition.

If you are currently under the care of a physician or mental health professional, or have a diagnosed medical or psychiatric condition, you should consult with that provider before beginning hypnotherapy. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Per California Business and Professions Code §2053.6, hypnotherapy is not licensed by the State of California, and Simply Hypno does not represent hypnotherapy services as a substitute for consultation with a licensed physician or other licensed healthcare provider.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to book or participate in our Services. By using our Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Booking, Payment, and Pricing

  • Current pricing for individual sessions and packages, and for the group program, is listed on our Site and may be updated from time to time.

  • Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

  • Package sessions (six-session and twelve-session packages) must be used within [Insert validity period, e.g., 12 months of purchase], after which unused sessions may expire.

  • Group program membership is billed monthly and will renew automatically until canceled.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refund Policy

  • Individual sessions: Please provide at least [Insert hours/days, e.g., 24 hours'] notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Sessions canceled with less notice, or missed without notice ("no-shows"), may be forfeited or subject to a rescheduling fee.

  • Group program: You may cancel your monthly membership at any time by email, phone call, or text. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; we do not provide partial-month refunds.

  • Session packages: No refunds on sessions or session packages

  • All sales are otherwise final unless required by law or expressly stated in these Terms.

6. Client Responsibilities

By participating in our Services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information on intake forms

  • Attend sessions in a private, comfortable, hands-free setting free from distractions, as instructed

  • Inform us of any relevant medical, psychiatric, or health conditions (including epilepsy, psychosis, or other conditions for which hypnotherapy may not be appropriate) prior to your first session

  • Use the Services at your own discretion and take responsibility for decisions made based on your sessions

Simply Hypno reserves the right to decline or discontinue services to any individual for whom hypnotherapy is deemed inappropriate or unsafe, at our sole discretion.

7. Confidentiality

We treat information you share during intake and sessions as confidential, as described in our Privacy Policy. We will not disclose your information except as necessary to provide our Services, as required by law, or as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site and provided as part of our Services — including recordings, scripts, written materials, and the "Become Limitless" program — is the property of Simply Hypno and is provided for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, resell, or publicly share this content without our prior written consent.

9. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

Hypnotherapy results vary by individual, and Simply Hypno makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You participate voluntarily and at your own risk

  • Simply Hypno, Mary Mauro, and any affiliated staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific session(s) or program at issue

10. Group Program Conduct

If you participate in the group hypnotherapy program, you agree to:

  • Treat other participants with respect and maintain the confidentiality of anything shared by other members during sessions

  • Refrain from recording group sessions without permission

  • Follow any additional group guidelines communicated by Simply Hypno

11. Communications Consent

By providing your email address or phone number, you consent to receive appointment-related communications, and — if you opt in — marketing and educational communications from Simply Hypno. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link provided in each email, in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act.

12. Third-Party Platforms

Our Services rely on third-party platforms, including Zoom (for session delivery), GoHighLevel (for scheduling and communications), and a payment processor. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or issues caused by these third-party platforms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
